Initial Session:
During the initial session, I want to hear all about you. We will go over your history with dieting and binge eating and what your current diet is looking life. We will discuss what you have tried in the past and what your current goals are. The main purpose of this session is to get a full picture of your past so we can create a plan than in unique to your needs. At the end of the session we will create a goal to carry on to the following sessions.
Follow-up Sessions:
During the follow up sessions, we follow up on the goals set at the previous sessions, go over your food journal, troubleshoot any problems you’ve faced and create new goals depending on your progress. Along with this, we celebrate your successes and determine what has worked well for you, and what hasn’t.
FAQ’s:
How long will it take to see results? You will likely see a reduction in binge eating in several weeks after implementing the strategies we discussed. But, how fast you progress depends on several factors and varies from person to person.
I want to lose weight, can you help me? When recovering from binge eating, focusing on weight loss will likely impede progress. Instead, we focus on strategies to reduce binge eating, which may or may not result in weight loss.
Do you accept insurance? Unfortunately, I do not accept insurance at this time.
Do you work with clients struggling with an active eating disorder? I am not working with eating disorder clients at this time, but hopefully will in the future.
